CLASSES STRUCTURE
Blissful Body Yoga is a yoga of awareness and inquiry influenced by many different yoga traditions including vinyasa, Iyengar, Kundalini and Kripalu yoga.
It is a "come as you are approach" where students are invited to Breathe, Relax, Feel, Watch, Allow.
Each Blissful Body Yoga Class includes:
Centering: to quiet mind and come back to a place of deep inner peace.
Pranayama: breathing exercises to increase the flow of prana (life force).
Pratapana: to warm and energize the body; get your prana flowing!
Asana: to strengthen and stretch the body, and focus the mind.
Relaxation: time for physical, mental and spiritual integration.
Meditation: to still the modifications of the restless mind, making room for steadiness and intuition.
STANDARD CLASS FORMATS
Blissful Gentle Yoga: this is a gentle class that focuses on restorative yoga postures. This is a perfect class for beginners, pregnant woman, finely-aging yogis and those coming back to yoga after injuries and illness.
Blissful Vinyasa Yoga: this is a challenging and energizing practice where yoga postures and breath are linked together in a flowing form. Great strength and cardiovascular endurance are developed in this practice.
Blissful Deep Stretch Yoga: this class focuses on stress relief and a deep release of the muscles and soft tissues. Deep breathing is used in conjunction with long, deep holds of yoga asanas (postures) and the class ends with the use of small "therapy balls" designed to open and release soft tissue.
Blissful Beginner's 4 Week Session Yoga: this class provides instruction on all the fundamental practices of yoga including asana (postures), pranayama (breathing), vinyasa (linking postures with breath) and yogic philosophy.
Blissful Prenatal Yoga: a place for connection with yourself and your growing baby, and an opportunity for sangha (community) with fellow Blissful Mammas. This is a gentle practice safely adapted to each trimester of pregnancy.
Blissful Babies Yoga: Children ages 1 to 5 years and their parents are invited to come play with us and show us your natural yoga! This is a fun, free flowing class where children are introduced to yoga postures, breathing and relaxation. Yoga helps children develop gross and fine motor movement skills and the social skills of being in a group. Yoga also helps children learn how to calm themselves and rest better.
Blissful Kids Yoga: there are two age ranges for these classes: 5-7 and 8-12 years of age. Children will develop strength, balance and flexabilty while discovery new levels of self-confidence and techniques for calming and focusing their minds.
Blissful Partner Yoga: this heart-centered, playful class is an opportunity for partners or friends to explore and assist each other in yoga postures.
Many other classes and special workshops are offered, please sign up for the newsletter so you don't miss out!

What do I bring to yoga class?
• yourself in comfortable clothing (like you would wear to the gym)
• a yoga mat (or you can purchase one from me for $20)
• water
• a towel can be useful
Do not eat within 2 hours of your yoga practice. Full tummy + yoga = not blissful.
